Sura 105: Al-Fīl (The Elephant)

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of God, The All Gracious, The All Merciful

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ ١

[105:1] Did you see what your Lord did to the proprietors of the elephant?

أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِى تَضْلِيلٍ ٢

[105:2] Did He not put their plan to waste?

وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ ٣

[105:3] And He sent upon them swarms of birds.

تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ ٤

[105:4] Showering them with devastating rocks.

فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍۭ ٥

[105:5] He then made them like chewed up hay.
