Sura 24: An-Nūr (The Light)

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God, The All Gracious, The All Merciful

سُورَةٌ أَنزَلْنَـٰهَا وَفَرَضْنَـٰهَا وَأَنزَلْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَـٰتٍۭ بَيِّنَـٰتٍ لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ ١
[24:1] A sura that We revealed and decreed it as law and revealed in it proven Signs that you may take heed.

ٱلزَّانِيَةُ وَٱلزَّانِى فَٱجْلِدُوا۟ كُلَّ وَٰحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا مِا۟ئَةَ جَلْدَةٍ وَلَا تَأْخُذْكُم بِهِمَا رَأْفَةٌ فِى دِينِ ٱللَّهِ17082045 إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ17092046 وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ وَلْيَشْهَدْ عَذَابَهُمَا طَآئِفَةٌ مِّنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٢
[24:2] The adulteress and the adulterer, after the fact, you shall deliver one hundred lashes to each one of the two. And do not be overcome by kindness towards the two of them; it shall be according to the religion of God17082045 if you believe in God17092046 and the Last Day, and let a group of faithful witness their punishment.

ٱلزَّانِى لَا يَنكِحُ إِلَّا زَانِيَةً أَوْ مُشْرِكَةً وَٱلزَّانِيَةُ لَا يَنكِحُهَآ إِلَّا زَانٍ أَوْ مُشْرِكٌ وَحُرِّمَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٣
[24:3] The adulterer only marries an adulteress or the female who sets up partners for god and the adulteress only marries an adulterer or the male who sets up partners for god. And this is indeed prohibited for the faithful.

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ ٱلْمُحْصَنَـٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَأْتُوا۟ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَآءَ فَٱجْلِدُوهُمْ ثَمَـٰنِينَ جَلْدَةً وَلَا تَقْبَلُوا۟ لَهُمْ شَهَـٰدَةً أَبَدًا وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ ٤
[24:4] As for those who accuse virtuous women then do not produce four witnesses, you shall thereafter give them eighty lashes and never accept testimony from them. And these are the wicked ones.

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ17102047 غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ٥
[24:5] Exempted are those who repent afterwards and lead a righteous life, then, indeed God17102047 is All Forgiving, All Merciful.

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ أَزْوَٰجَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ شُهَدَآءُ إِلَّآ أَنفُسُهُمْ فَشَهَـٰدَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ أَرْبَعُ شَهَـٰدَٰتٍۭ بِٱللَّهِ17112048 إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ ٦
[24:6] And those who accuse their wives and do not have any witnesses, but themselves, then the testimony of one is equal to four testimonies, invoking God17112048 that indeed he is telling the truth.

وَٱلْخَـٰمِسَةُ أَنَّ لَعْنَتَ ٱللَّهِ17122049 عَلَيْهِ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ ٧
[24:7] And the fifth that indeed he will incur God17122049's curse if he is a liar.

وَيَدْرَؤُا۟ عَنْهَا ٱلْعَذَابَ أَن تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَـٰدَٰتٍۭ بِٱللَّهِ17132050 إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ ٨
[24:8] And she is exempt from punishment if she testifies four testimonies invoking God17132050 that indeed he is a liar.

وَٱلْخَـٰمِسَةَ أَنَّ غَضَبَ ٱللَّهِ17142051 عَلَيْهَآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ ٩
[24:9] And the fifth that indeed she must realize that God17142051 is angry with her if he is telling the truth.

وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ17152052 عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ17162053 تَوَّابٌ حَكِيمٌ ١٠
[24:10] These are all a grace from God17152052 upon you and mercy from Him, and indeed God17162053 is Accepter of Repentance, All Wise.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ جَآءُو بِٱلْإِفْكِ عُصْبَةٌ مِّنكُمْ لَا تَحْسَبُوهُ شَرًّا لَّكُم بَلْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ لِكُلِّ ٱمْرِئٍ مِّنْهُم مَّا ٱكْتَسَبَ مِنَ ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلَّذِى تَوَلَّىٰ كِبْرَهُۥ مِنْهُمْ لَهُۥ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ ١١
[24:11] Indeed a group of men amongst you invented a big lie. Do not reckon that it was bad for you; on the contrary, it was good for you. To each man belongs his earning of sin. As the one who arrogantly ignored it from amongst them, reserved for him is a huge suffering.

لَّوْلَآ إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ ظَنَّ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتُ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ خَيْرًا وَقَالُوا۟ هَـٰذَآ إِفْكٌ مُّبِينٌ ١٢
[24:12] When the faithful men and faithful women heard it, they should have had better thoughts and should have said; this is a clear lie.

لَّوْلَا جَآءُو عَلَيْهِ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَآءَ فَإِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوا۟ بِٱلشُّهَدَآءِ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ17172054 هُمُ ٱلْكَـٰذِبُونَ ١٣
[24:13] They should have produced four witnesses. However, if they could not produce four witnesses, then they are liars as far as God17172054 is concerned.

وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ17182055 عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِى مَآ أَفَضْتُمْ فِيهِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ ١٤
[24:14] If it were not for God17182055's grace that He bestowed upon all of you and His mercy in this world as well as the Hereafter, you would have endured a great deal of suffering because of this incident.

إِذْ تَلَقَّوْنَهُۥ بِأَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَتَقُولُونَ بِأَفْوَاهِكُم مَّا لَيْسَ لَكُم بِهِۦ عِلْمٌ وَتَحْسَبُونَهُۥ هَيِّنًا وَهُوَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ17192056 عَظِيمٌ ١٥
[24:15] When you made up with your tongues and you spread it with your mouths something that you had no knowledge thereof, and you reckoned that it was insignificant, while as far as God17192056 was concerned, it was grave.

وَلَوْلَآ إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ قُلْتُم مَّا يَكُونُ لَنَآ أَن نَّتَكَلَّمَ بِهَـٰذَا سُبْحَـٰنَكَ هَـٰذَا بُهْتَـٰنٌ عَظِيمٌ ١٦
[24:16] And when you heard it, you should have said; it is not befitting for us to talk about this, glory to You, this is a great false accusation.

يَعِظُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ17202057 أَن تَعُودُوا۟ لِمِثْلِهِۦٓ أَبَدًا إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٧
[24:17] God17202057 is enlightening you so that this will never happen again, if you are faithful.

وَيُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ17212058 لَكُمُ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ وَٱللَّهُ17222059 عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ ١٨
[24:18] And God17212058 clarifies His signs for you. And God17222059 is All Knowing, All Wise.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَن تَشِيعَ ٱلْفَـٰحِشَةُ فِى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَٱللَّهُ17232060 يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ ١٩
[24:19] Certainly, those who want vice to spread amongst the faithful, reserved for them is a most painful suffering in this world as well as the Hereafter. And God17232060 knows while you do not know.

وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ17242061 عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ17252062 رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ ٢٠
[24:20] Despite all, God17242061's grace still showers you as well as His mercy, and indeed God17252062 is All Compassionate, All Merciful.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ وَمَن يَتَّبِعْ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَأْمُرُ بِٱلْفَحْشَآءِ وَٱلْمُنكَرِ وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ17262063 عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ مَا زَكَىٰ مِنكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ أَبَدًا وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ17272064 يُزَكِّى مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّهُ17282065 سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ ٢١
[24:21] O you faithful do not follow the paths of Satan. And whoever follows his paths, then, indeed he commands to commit vice and evil. And if it were not for God17262063's grace upon you and His mercy, not a single one of you would have ever been cleansed, however, God17272064 cleanses whomever He wills. And God17282065 is All Hearer, All Knower.

وَلَا يَأْتَلِ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْفَضْلِ مِنكُمْ وَٱلسَّعَةِ أَن يُؤْتُوٓا۟ أُو۟لِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينَ وَٱلْمُهَـٰجِرِينَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ17292066 وَلْيَعْفُوا۟ وَلْيَصْفَحُوٓا۟ أَلَا تُحِبُّونَ أَن يَغْفِرَ ٱللَّهُ17302067 لَكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ17312068 غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ٢٢
[24:22] And those among you who possess bounty and wealth should never hesitate to give to the relatives and the poor and the immigrants for the sake of God17292066, and they should pardon and turn a new leaf. Would you not love for God17302067 to forgive you? And God17312068 is All Forgiving, All Merciful.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ ٱلْمُحْصَنَـٰتِ ٱلْغَـٰفِلَـٰتِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ لُعِنُوا۟ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ ٢٣
[24:23] Those who summarily accuse the faithful chaste women, they are cursed in this world as well as the Hereafter and reserved for them is a tremendous suffering.

يَوْمَ تَشْهَدُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَلْسِنَتُهُمْ وَأَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ٢٤
[24:24] The day, when their tongues, their hands, and their feet bear witness against them, regarding everything they did.

يَوْمَئِذٍ يُوَفِّيهِمُ ٱللَّهُ17322069 دِينَهُمُ ٱلْحَقَّ وَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ17332070 هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ ٱلْمُبِينُ ٢٥
[24:25] The day, when God17322069 repays them fully according to their true religion, and they will know that indeed God17332070 is the proven truth.

ٱلْخَبِيثَـٰتُ لِلْخَبِيثِينَ وَٱلْخَبِيثُونَ لِلْخَبِيثَـٰتِ وَٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتُ لِلطَّيِّبِينَ وَٱلطَّيِّبُونَ لِلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ مُبَرَّءُونَ مِمَّا يَقُولُونَ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ ٢٦
[24:26] Wicked women deserve wicked men, and wicked men deserve wicked women, and the pure women deserve pure men and pure men deserve pure women. These are shielded from their utterances, reserved for them is forgiveness and a generous recompense.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَدْخُلُوا۟ بُيُوتًا غَيْرَ بُيُوتِكُمْ حَتَّىٰ تَسْتَأْنِسُوا۟ وَتُسَلِّمُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهَا ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ ٢٧
[24:27] O you faithful, do not enter homes that do not belong to you unless you are welcome therein and you shall offer peace to her inhabitants, this is better for you that you may be reminded.

فَإِن لَّمْ تَجِدُوا۟ فِيهَآ أَحَدًا فَلَا تَدْخُلُوهَا حَتَّىٰ يُؤْذَنَ لَكُمْ وَإِن قِيلَ لَكُمُ ٱرْجِعُوا۟ فَٱرْجِعُوا۟ هُوَ أَزْكَىٰ لَكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ17342071 بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيمٌ ٢٨
[24:28] Then if you do not find anybody in there, you shall not enter therein until you obtain permission; and if you are told to go back, you shall go back, this is purer for you. And God17342071 fully knows what you do.

لَّيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَن تَدْخُلُوا۟ بُيُوتًا غَيْرَ مَسْكُونَةٍ فِيهَا مَتَـٰعٌ لَّكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ17352072 يَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا تَكْتُمُونَ ٢٩
[24:29] There is no blame on you if you enter abandoned homes wherein there is a provision for you. And God17352072 knows what you declare and what you conceal.

قُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا۟ مِنْ أَبْصَـٰرِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا۟ فُرُوجَهُمْ ذَٰلِكَ أَزْكَىٰ لَهُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ17362073 خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ ٣٠
[24:30] Tell the faithful men to subdue their eyes and keep their chastity. This is purer for them. Indeed, God17362073 is cognizant of your actions.

وَقُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَـٰرِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَىٰ جُيُوبِهِنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ ءَابَآئِهِنَّ أَوْ ءَابَآءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَآئِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَآءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ إِخْوَٰنِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِىٓ إِخْوَٰنِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِىٓ أَخَوَٰتِهِنَّ أَوْ نِسَآئِهِنَّ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَـٰنُهُنَّ أَوِ ٱلتَّـٰبِعِينَ غَيْرِ أُو۟لِى ٱلْإِرْبَةِ مِنَ ٱلرِّجَالِ أَوِ ٱلطِّفْلِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَظْهَرُوا۟ عَلَىٰ عَوْرَٰتِ ٱلنِّسَآءِ وَلَا يَضْرِبْنَ بِأَرْجُلِهِنَّ لِيُعْلَمَ مَا يُخْفِينَ مِن زِينَتِهِنَّ وَتُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ17372074 جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ ٣١
[24:31] Tell the faithful women to subdue their eyes and keep their chastity, and do not display their figures, except what is obvious, and they shall move with their scarves over their chests, and they shall not display their figures, except in front of their husbands or their fathers or their fathers-in-law or their sons or the sons of their husbands or their brothers or the sons of their brothers or the sons of their sisters or other women or those who truly belong to them or men who have no sexual drive or children who have not reached puberty, and they shall not move around on their feet in order to reveal what should be hidden from their figures. You shall all repent to God17372074, O you faithful that you may succeed.

وَأَنكِحُوا۟ ٱلْأَيَـٰمَىٰ مِنكُمْ وَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ وَإِمَآئِكُمْ إِن يَكُونُوا۟ فُقَرَآءَ يُغْنِهِمُ ٱللَّهُ17382075 مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَٱللَّهُ17392076 وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ ٣٢
[24:32] You shall marry the singles amongst you and so shall the righteous male and female subordinates. If they are poor, God17382075 will enrich them from His bounty. And God17392076 is Expander, All Knowing.

وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ نِكَاحًا حَتَّىٰ يُغْنِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ17402077 مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبْتَغُونَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ مِمَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَـٰنُكُمْ فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا وَءَاتُوهُم مِّن مَّالِ ٱللَّهِ17412078 ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ وَلَا تُكْرِهُوا۟ فَتَيَـٰتِكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْبِغَآءِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَ تَحَصُّنًا لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟ عَرَضَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَن يُكْرِههُّنَّ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ17422079 مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِكْرَٰهِهِنَّ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ٣٣
[24:33] And you shall pardon those who cannot find anyone to marry, and they shall maintain abstinence until God17402077 enriches them from His bounty. As for those who are under your custody and are seeking education, you shall educate them, if you know of something good in them, and give to them from the money that God17412078 has provided for you. You shall not force your young girls to commit vice, if they wish to be chaste, seeking the expanse of this worldly life. And those of them who are forced, then indeed God17422079, because they are compelled, is All Forgiving, All Merciful.

وَلَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ ءَايَـٰتٍ مُّبَيِّنَـٰتٍ وَمَثَلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ٣٤
[24:34] And We indeed revealed to you proven Signs and examples of those who perished before you, and enlightenment for the god-fearing.

ٱللَّهُ17432080 نُورُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ مَثَلُ نُورِهِۦ كَمِشْكَوٰةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ ٱلْمِصْبَاحُ فِى زُجَاجَةٍ ٱلزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّىٌّ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٍ مُّبَـٰرَكَةٍ زَيْتُونَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِىٓءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌ نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٍ يَهْدِى ٱللَّهُ17442081 لِنُورِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ17452082 ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ لِلنَّاسِ وَٱللَّهُ17462083 بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ ٣٥
[24:35] God17432080 is the light of the vacua and matter. The allegory of His light is like a lamp, wherein there is another lamp. The lamp is within a concave mirror, the mirror is like a brilliant diamond planet, it is fueled from the oil from a blessed olive tree, neither eastern nor western, its oil almost radiates, although no fire ever touches it. [24:37] Men whom no trade or business ever distracts them from commemorating God17482085 and they observe the contact prayer and give the cleansing charity. They fear the day that the hearts and the eyes are horrified.

[24:38] Because of this, God17492086 will recompense them for all their good deeds, and bestows on them plenty from His bounty. And God17502087 provides for whomever He wills without limits.

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَعْمَـٰلُهُمْ كَسَرَابٍۭ بِقِيعَةٍ يَحْسَبُهُ ٱلظَّمْـَٔانُ مَآءً حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَهُۥ لَمْ يَجِدْهُ شَيْـًٔا وَوَجَدَ ٱللَّهَ17512088 عِندَهُۥ فَوَفَّىٰهُ حِسَابَهُۥ وَٱللَّهُ17522089 سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ ٣٩
[24:39] As for the unfaithful, their deeds are like a mirage on a flat plain that the thirsty thinks is water, until he reaches it and finds nothing, but he finds God17512088 there, He then fully repays him his reckoning. And God17522089 is quick in reckoning.

أَوْ كَظُلُمَـٰتٍ فِى بَحْرٍ لُّجِّىٍّ يَغْشَىٰهُ مَوْجٌ مِّن فَوْقِهِۦ مَوْجٌ مِّن فَوْقِهِۦ سَحَابٌ ظُلُمَـٰتٌۢ بَعْضُهَا فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ إِذَآ أَخْرَجَ يَدَهُۥ لَمْ يَكَدْ يَرَىٰهَا وَمَن لَّمْ يَجْعَلِ ٱللَّهُ17532090 لَهُۥ نُورًا فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن نُّورٍ ٤٠
[24:40] Or it is like the darkness of the sea, the wave stubbornly covers him, wave after wave above him, like a cloud. Darkness upon darkness, when he takes out his hand he is almost unable to see it. And the one whom God17532090 does not provide light for, then he has no light.

[24:41] Do you not see that indeed glorifying God17542091 is everyone in the vacua and matter as well as the birds lined up, every one of them knows his contact prayer and his glorification? And God17552092 knows full well what you do.

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ17582095 يُزْجِى سَحَابًا ثُمَّ يُؤَلِّفُ بَيْنَهُۥ ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُهُۥ رُكَامًا فَتَرَى ٱلْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلَـٰلِهِۦ وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مِن جِبَالٍ فِيهَا مِنۢ بَرَدٍ فَيُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَصْرِفُهُۥ عَن مَّن يَشَآءُ يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهِۦ يَذْهَبُ بِٱلْأَبْصَـٰرِ ٤٣
[24:43] Do you not see that indeed God17582095 drives the clouds, then He meshes them together, then He piles them up, you then see the rain falls from its midst and He sends down from the sky massive hailstorms, whereby He strikes whomever He wills and diverts it from whomever He wills. The brightness of its reflection is almost blinding to the eyes.

[24:44] God17592096 controls the night and the day. Indeed in this is a lesson for those who possess vision.

[24:45] And God17602097 created every living thing from water. Thereafter, there are those who crawl on their bellies and there are those who move on their two legs and those who move on four. God17612098 creates what He wills. Indeed God17622099 is All Powerful over all things.

[24:46] Indeed, We have revealed proven Signs. And God17632100 guides to the straight path whomever He wills.

[24:47] And they said; we believe in God17642101 and in the messenger and we obey, but later on, after all this, a group of them turned away. And these were never faithful.

[24:48] And when they are invited to God17652102 and His messenger to rule amongst them, a group of them readily objects to this.

[24:50] Is there a disease in their hearts, or are they doubtful, or are they afraid that God17662103 and His messenger may commit injustice towards them? No, on the contrary, they are the ones who commit injustice.

[24:51] The only response of the faithful when they are invited to God17672104 and His messenger to rule amongst them is; we hear and we obey. And these are the successful ones.

[24:53] And they swear by God17702107 a solemn oath that had you ordered them, they would have definitely left, say; do not swear; obedience is a rule. Indeed, God17712108 is cognizant of what you do.

قُلْ أَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ17722109 وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْهِ مَا حُمِّلَ وَعَلَيْكُم مَّا حُمِّلْتُمْ وَإِن تُطِيعُوهُ تَهْتَدُوا۟ وَمَا عَلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَـٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ ٥٤
[24:54] Say; obey God17722109 and obey the messenger, and if you turn away, then indeed he carries his load and you carry your loads, however, if you obey him, then you will be guided. And the messenger's mission is to clearly deliver.

وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ17732110 ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَمَا ٱسْتَخْلَفَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى ٱرْتَضَىٰ لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْنًا يَعْبُدُونَنِى لَا يُشْرِكُونَ بِى شَيْـًٔا وَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ ٥٥
[24:55] God17732110 has promised those of you who have attained faith and lead a righteous life, that He will make them substitutes on the land, as He made those before them substitutes, and He will establish their religion that will be pleasing to them and replaces their fear with security. They shall worship Me and do not set up any partners for Me. And whoever disbelieves afterwards, then, these are the wicked.

[24:56] You shall uphold the contact prayer and give the cleansing charity and obey the messenger that you may attain mercy.

[24:57] The unfaithful should never reckon that they can work miracles on the land. Their abode is Hell, and indeed a miserable destiny.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لِيَسْتَـْٔذِنكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَـٰنُكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا۟ ٱلْحُلُمَ مِنكُمْ ثَلَـٰثَ مَرَّٰتٍ مِّن قَبْلِ صَلَوٰةِ ٱلْفَجْرِ وَحِينَ تَضَعُونَ ثِيَابَكُم مِّنَ ٱلظَّهِيرَةِ وَمِنۢ بَعْدِ صَلَوٰةِ ٱلْعِشَآءِ ثَلَـٰثُ عَوْرَٰتٍ لَّكُمْ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَا عَلَيْهِمْ جُنَاحٌۢ بَعْدَهُنَّ طَوَّٰفُونَ عَلَيْكُم بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ17742111 لَكُمُ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ وَٱللَّهُ17752112 عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ ٥٨
[24:58] O you faithful, those whom you are protecting as well as those who have not reached adulthood shall ask permission from you three times during the day. These are before the dawn contact prayer, in the middle of the daylight, when you are changing your clothes and after the night contact prayer. These are three private times for you. You commit no error by visiting each other during the rest of the times. God17742111 thus clarifies the signs for you. And God17752112 is All Knowing, All Wise.

وَإِذَا بَلَغَ ٱلْأَطْفَـٰلُ مِنكُمُ ٱلْحُلُمَ فَلْيَسْتَـْٔذِنُوا۟ كَمَا ٱسْتَـْٔذَنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ17762113 لَكُمْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ وَٱللَّهُ17772114 عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ ٥٩
[24:59] And once the children reach adulthood, they shall ask permission like those before them asked permission. God17762113 thus clarifies His signs for you. And God17772114 is All Knowing, All Wise.

وَٱلْقَوَٰعِدُ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ ٱلَّـٰتِى لَا يَرْجُونَ نِكَاحًا فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِنَّ جُنَاحٌ أَن يَضَعْنَ ثِيَابَهُنَّ غَيْرَ مُتَبَرِّجَـٰتٍۭ بِزِينَةٍ وَأَن يَسْتَعْفِفْنَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُنَّ وَٱللَّهُ17782115 سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ ٦٠
[24:60] And the old women who have no hope of getting married commit no error if they relax their dress code, as long as they do not show their vanities. However, modesty is the best policy for them. And God17782115 is All Hearer, All Knower.

لَّيْسَ عَلَى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ حَرَجٌ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلْأَعْرَجِ حَرَجٌ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلْمَرِيضِ حَرَجٌ وَلَا عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَن تَأْكُلُوا۟ مِنۢ بُيُوتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ ءَابَآئِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أُمَّهَـٰتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ إِخْوَٰنِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أَخَوَٰتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أَعْمَـٰمِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ عَمَّـٰتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أَخْوَٰلِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ خَـٰلَـٰتِكُمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكْتُم مَّفَاتِحَهُۥٓ أَوْ صَدِيقِكُمْ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَن تَأْكُلُوا۟ جَمِيعًا أَوْ أَشْتَاتًا فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُم بُيُوتًا فَسَلِّمُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ تَحِيَّةً مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ17792116 مُبَـٰرَكَةً طَيِّبَةً كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ17802117 لَكُمُ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ ٦١
[24:61] There is no blame on the blind, nor on the crippled, nor on the ill nor on yourselves if you eat in your own homes, or the homes of your fathers, or the homes of your mothers, or the homes of your brothers, or the homes of your sisters, or the homes of your fathers’ brothers or the homes of your fathers’ sisters or the homes of your mothers’ brothers or the homes of your mothers’ sisters or those which you have their keys or those of your friends. There is no blame on you if you eat together or by yourself. Then when you enter homes, you shall offer peace to each other, a greeting from God17792116 blessed and pure. God17802117 thus clarifies for you the signs that you may use your intelligence.

إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ17812118 وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَإِذَا كَانُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرٍ جَامِعٍ لَّمْ يَذْهَبُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَسْتَـْٔذِنُوهُ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَـْٔذِنُونَكَ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ17822119 وَرَسُولِهِۦ فَإِذَا ٱسْتَـْٔذَنُوكَ لِبَعْضِ شَأْنِهِمْ فَأْذَن لِّمَن شِئْتَ مِنْهُمْ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمُ ٱللَّهَ17832120 إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ17842121 غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ٦٢
[24:62] Indeed the faithful are those who believe in God17812118 and His messenger and when they are with him in a social meeting, they do not leave unless they ask his permission. Indeed those who ask your permission, they are the ones who believe in God17822119 and His messenger. Therefore, when they ask you for permission to attend some affairs, you may then give permission to whomever you want from amongst them and ask God17832120 forgiveness on their behalf. Indeed God17842121 is All Forgiving, All Merciful.

لَّا تَجْعَلُوا۟ دُعَآءَ ٱلرَّسُولِ بَيْنَكُمْ كَدُعَآءِ بَعْضِكُم بَعْضًا قَدْ يَعْلَمُ ٱللَّهُ17852122 ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَسَلَّلُونَ مِنكُمْ لِوَاذًا فَلْيَحْذَرِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُخَالِفُونَ عَنْ أَمْرِهِۦٓ أَن تُصِيبَهُمْ فِتْنَةٌ أَوْ يُصِيبَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ٦٣
[24:63] Do not treat a request from the messenger amongst yourselves like a request that you make from each other. Indeed God17852122 knows those among you who quietly sneak out. Therefore, you shall be careful dealing with those who oppose His command for they may be struck with a disaster or they may be struck with a painful suffering.

[24:64] Absolutely to God17862123 belongs everything in the vacua and matter. He indeed knows what you are up to and the day they return to Him, He will then inform them of everything they have done. And God17872124 has full knowledge of all things.
