[31:1] ALM.

[31:2] These are the proofs of the scripture, full of wisdom.

[31:3] Guidance and mercy for the righteous.

[31:4] Those who observe the contact prayer and give the cleansing charity and they are absolutely certain about the Hereafter.

[31:5] They have guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful ones.

[31:6] And amongst the people are those who buy into useless hadeeth in order to divert from the path of God1929491916295 without knowledge and they make fun of it. Awaiting them is a humiliating suffering.

[31:7] And when our signs are recited to them, they turn away arrogantly as though they have not heard it, as though there is deafness in their ears; therefore, inform them of a painful suffering.

[31:8] Indeed those who have faith and lead a righteous life, reserved for them are blissful paradises.

[31:9] They abide therein forever; God1930492917296's promise is the truth. And He is the Almighty, The All Wise.

[31:10] He has created the vacua without visible pillars, and has created stabilizers within matter, lest it would tumble with you and created in it all kinds of creatures. And We send water from the sky then We grow in it a pair of all kinds of fine things.

[31:11] This is God1931493918297's creation; show me what those besides Him have created? But, the transgressors are in manifest straying.

[31:12] And We gave Luqman wisdom, that you shall be grateful to God1932494919298. And whoever is grateful, his gratefulness benefits himself, and whoever is ungrateful, then God1933495920299 is Rich, Praiseworthy.

[31:13] And when Luqman said to his son, as he was enlightening him, O my son do not set up partners for God1934496921300, for indeed setting up partners for god is a great injustice.

[31:14] And We enjoined the human being regarding his parents, for his mother carried him as the load got heavier and nursed him for two years, hence, you shall be appreciative of Me and of your parents for you will finally return to Me.

[31:15] And if they try to make you set up partners for Me, which you have no knowledge thereof, do not obey them. However, maintain your amicable treatment of them in this world, and follow the path of those who have repented to Me. Ultimately, to Me is your final destiny and I will inform you of everything you have done.

[31:16] O my son, indeed even something as small as a mustard seed hidden in a rock, be it in the vacua or within matter, God1935497922301 will bring it out. Surely God1936498923302 is Kind, Cognizant.

[31:17] O my son, observe the contact prayer; enjoin righteousness and forbid evil and be patient in the face of adversity. Indeed this reflects strength of character.

[31:18] And do not have a condescending attitude towards people and do not tread the earth arrogantly, for God1937499924303 does not love any arrogant, show off.  

[31:19] And follow this way of life and lower your voice. Indeed the ugliest voice is that of a donkey.

[31:20] Do you not see that God1938500925304 has put at your disposal everything in the vacua and everything within matter and has showered you with His blessings, obvious and hidden? And amongst people are those who argue about God1939501926305, without knowledge, without guidance and without an enlightening scripture.

[31:21] And when it is said to them; follow what God1940502927306 has revealed, they will say; no, we only follow what we found our parents followed. Even if Satan were to invite them to the agony of Hell.

[31:22] As for the one who focuses all his attention on being at peace with God1941503928307, while being righteous, he has then taken hold of the strongest bond. And to God1942504929308 all matters will be referred.

[31:23] As for those who have no faith, do not be saddened by their lack of faith. To Us is their final destiny and We will inform them of everything they have done. Indeed God1943505930309 knows full well about the innermost thoughts.

[31:24] We let them enjoy a little, then We commit them to a most severe suffering.

[31:25] And if you ask them who created the vacua and matter, they will definitely say, God1944506931310. Say, praise God1945507932311. However, most of them do not comprehend.

[31:26] To God1946508933312 belongs everything in the vacua and matter. Indeed God1947509934313 is Rich, Praiseworthy.

[31:27] And if all the trees on the land were pens and the sea was ink, augmented by seven more seas on top of it, God1948510935314's words would not run out. Indeed God1949511936315 is Almighty, All Wise.

[31:28] Your creation and your resurrection are just like that of a single soul. Indeed God1950512937316 is All Hearing, All Seeing.

[31:29] Do you not see that God1951513938317 merges the night into the day and merges the day into the night and has subdued the Sun and the Moon, each floating for a specific interim? And God1952514939318 is cognizant of everything you do.

[31:30] This is because indeed God1953515940319 is the truth and certainly those whom they call upon besides Him are falsehood and that God1954516941320 is The Exalted, The All Magnificent.

[31:31] Do you not see that the ship floats in the sea as a blessing from God1955517942321 in order to show you some of His signs? Indeed, in this there are signs for people who are steadfast, appreciative.

[31:32] And when the wave covers them like a shadow, they call upon God1956518943322 devoting the religion purely to Him, but when We rescue them to the shore, some of them revert. And no one argues about Our signs except those who are betrayers, unappreciative.

[31:33] O you people, fear your Lord, and fear the day when no father can help his child and no child can help his father in the least. Indeed God1957519944323's promise is the truth. Therefore, do not be deceived by this worldly life and do not be deceived away from God1958520945324 by an illusion.

[31:34] Indeed with God1959521946325 is the knowledge of the Hour and He sends down the rain and He knows the content of the wombs, and no soul knows what happens to her tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land she will die. Indeed God1960522947326 is All Knowing, Cognizant.
