[33:1] O you prophet, fear God19621550 and do not obey the unfaithful and the hypocrites. Indeed God19631551 is All Knowing, All Wise.

[33:2] And follow what is revealed to you from your Lord. God19641552 is indeed Cognizant of everything you (plural) do.

[33:3] And put your trust in God19651553. And God19661554 is sufficient as an advocate.

[33:4] God19671555 did not make for any man two hearts within his chest. And He did not turn your wives, those whom you estrange, into your mothers. And He did not turn your adopted children into your own children. These are utterances coming out of your own mouths. And God19681556 speaks the truth and He guides to the path.

[33:5] You shall call them with their fathers’ names; this is more equitable in the site of God19691557. However, if you do not know their fathers, then they are your brethren in faith and your friends. There is no blame on you for your errors; you are only accountable for your intentions in your hearts. And God19701558 is All Forgiving, All Merciful.

[33:6] For the faithful, the prophet takes priority even over themselves, and his wives are their mothers. Some relatives take precedence over others amongst the faithful and the emigrants, according to God19711559's scripture; you should be amicable to your friends. This is so written in the scripture.

[33:7] And when We took a covenant from the prophets, including you, and Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus son of Mary; We took from them a solemn covenant.

[33:8] This is to ask the truthful ones regarding their truthfulness. And to give the unfaithful the promise of a most painful suffering.

[33:9] O you faithful, remember God19721560's blessings upon you when armies came upon you, He sent wind upon them and armies that you could not see. And God19731561 is All Seer of what you do.

[33:10] And they came from above you and from beneath you and your eyes were bewildered and your hearts reached your throat and you harbored doubts about God19741562.

[33:11] Herewith, He tested the faithful and shook them up a severe shaking.

[33:12] And that was when the hypocrites and those with impurity in their hearts said; God19751563 and His messenger have only promised an illusion.

[33:13] And when a group of them said O people of Yathrib; this is not your place, therefore go back, and a group of them asked permission from the prophet saying; our homes are exposed while they were not exposed, they only wanted to desert.

[33:14] And had they come to them from the other side and had asked them to cause trouble, they would have joined them readily without the least hesitation.

[33:15] Even though they had promised God19761564 previously that they would never turn their backs. And one is responsible for a promise to God19771565.

[33:16] Say, your desertion will not benefit you, for you could never escape death, or avoid getting killed, and they only receive a miniscule provision.

[33:17] Say, who is going to protect you from God19781566 if He wills ill towards you, or wills mercy towards you? And they will find no one as an ally or a helper for themselves besides God19791567.

[33:18] Say, God19801568 knows the naysayers amongst you who are saying to their brethren come and join us. And they do not fight, except very few.

[33:19] They are stingy towards you, then once fear overwhelmed them, you see them looking at you with terrified eyes like the one whom has already met death, however, once the fear was gone, they gave you a tongue lashing and practiced the ultimate stinginess rather than doing good. These are the ones who will never attain faith; therefore, God19811569 will nullify their deeds. And this is easy for God19821570.

[33:20] The parties thought they would never leave, and if the parties had come they would have still loved to join camps with the Arabs; they ask of the news about you, and if they were with you, they would have not fought except occasionally.

[33:21] Indeed there is a good example in God19831571's messenger for you and those who seek God19841572 and the last day and remember God19851573 frequently.

[33:22] And when the faithful see the parties, they say; this is what God19861574 and His messenger had promised us and God19871575 and His messenger were truthful. This only increased their faith and inner peace.

[33:23] And amongst the faithful are men who have fulfilled their covenant with God19881576. Then there were those who passed away keeping their promise and some who waited and never changed.

[33:24] This is in order for God19891577 to reward those who were truthful for their truthfulness and punish the hypocrites if He wills or He may accept their repentance. Indeed God19901578 is All Forgiving, All Merciful.

[33:25] God19911579 dispersed the unfaithful with their rage; they did not achieve any good. And God19921580 ended the war for the faithful. And God19931581 is All Powerful, Almighty.

[33:26] And He brought down their supporters amongst the people of the scripture from their fortress and threw terror in their hearts, some you killed and some you took captive.

[33:27] And He had you inherit their land, their homes, their wealth and even land which you had not conquered. And God19941582 is All Powerful over all things.

[33:28] O you prophet, tell your wives if they are seeking this worldly life and its adornments, come let me compensate you and let you go in the best possible manner.

[33:29] But if you seek God19951583 and His messenger and the abode of the Hereafter, then God19961584 promises the righteous amongst you a great recompense.

[33:30] O you wives of the prophet, any one of you who commits a proven vice, the suffering will be doubled for her. And this is easy for God19971585.

[33:31] And anyone of you who obeys God19981586 and His messenger and works righteousness We give her twice the reward and We promise her a generous provision.

[33:32] O you wives of the prophet, you are not like other women. If you fear god, then you shall not speak softly, because those with impurity in their hearts may desire you, you shall speak firmly.

[33:33] And you shall stay in your homes and do not make yourselves up as you did during the time of ignorance and observe the contact prayer and give the cleansing charity and obey God19991587 and His messenger. God20001588 only wants to remove impurities from you, O you inhabitants of the House and cleanse you thoroughly.

[33:34] And remember what is recited in your homes from God20011589's signs and wisdom. Indeed God20021590 is Gentle, Cognizant.

[33:35] And indeed the peace-offering men and the peace-offering women and the faithful men and the faithful women and the obedient men and the obedient women and the truthful men and the truthful women and the patient men and the patient women and the god-fearing men and the god-fearing women and the charitable men and the charitable women and the fasting men and the fasting women and the chaste men and the chaste women and men who remember God20031591 frequently and women who do so, God20041592 has promised them forgiveness and a tremendous recompense.

[33:36] And no faithful man or faithful woman has any choice once God20051593 and His messenger issue a command. And whoever disobeys God20061594 and His messenger, then indeed he has clearly gone astray.

[33:37] And when you said to the one that God20071595 had blessed and you had blessed; stay with your wife and fear God20081596 and you kept inside you what God20091597 wanted to declare and you feared people when fearing God20101598 was the right thing to do, therefore once Zaid was through with her, We made you marry her in order to show that the faithful commit no error by marrying the wives of their adopted sons when they are finished with them. And God20111599's command shall be carried out.

[33:38] The prophet commits no error by following what God20121600 has decreed as a duty for him. This is God20131601's system with which He dealt with others previously. And God20141602's command is always destined to be carried out.

[33:39] Those who deliver God20151603's messages and fear Him and do not fear anybody but God20161604; God20171605 suffices them as a reckoner.

[33:40] Muhammad was not the father of any man amongst you; on the contrary He was a messenger of God20181606 and the final prophet. And God20191607 has full knowledge of all things.

[33:41] O you faithful, remember God20201608, a frequent remembrance.

[33:42] And glorify Him constantly day and night.

[33:43] He is the One who supports you and so do His angels in order to take you out of the darkness into the light. And He is All Merciful towards the faithful.

[33:44] Their greetings on the day they meet Him, is peace. And He has promised them a generous recompense.

[33:45] O you prophet, indeed We have sent you as a witness, a deliverer of good news as well as a warner, -

[33:46] - and the one who invites to God20211609 by His authority and a radiating lamp.

[33:47] And give good news to the faithful for indeed they have deserved a great bounty from God20221610.

[33:48] And do not obey the unfaithful and the hypocrites; endure their torment and put your trust in God20231611. And God20241612 suffices as an advocate.

[33:49] O you faithful, when you marry faithful women, then divorce them before you consummate the marriage; they do not owe any specific interim, you shall therefore provide for them and let them go amicably.

[33:50] O you prophet, indeed We have made lawful for you wives as long as you pay them their due wages as well as those who truly belong to you from what God20251613 has provided for you as well as the daughters of your father's brothers and daughters of your father's sisters and daughters of your mother's brothers and daughters of your mother's sisters from amongst those who emigrated with you and the faithful woman who offers herself to the prophet if the prophet wishes to marry her; this is only for the prophet and not the faithful. We indeed know what We decreed as a duty upon them regarding their spouses and those who are truly theirs; this is in order for you not to commit any error. And God20261614 is All Forgiving, All Merciful.

[33:51] You may shun any one of them that you wish and may pay attention to the one that you wish, and there is no blame on you if you get closer to the one you had ignored. It is therefore better for them that they control their desires and do not become saddened and become happy with what you give to each one of them. And God20271615 knows what is in your hearts. And God20281616 is All Knowing, Clement.

[33:52] It is not lawful for you women outside these categories, and do not change your wife just because you admire someone else's looks; be content with what truly belongs to you. And God20291617 is ever watchful over all things.

[33:53] O you faithful do not enter the prophet's homes unless you are invited to have a meal therein without forcing an invitation and when you are invited, then enter, once you finish your meal you shall disperse and do not seek to stay for a hadeeth. Indeed you were disturbing the prophet and he was too shy to tell you, but God20301618 does not shy away from the truth. And when you ask the females for provision, you shall ask them from behind a barrier. This is purer for your hearts as well as their hearts. And it is not good for you to torment the messenger of God20311619 and do not marry his wives after him, ever. Indeed this is of utmost importance in the site of God20321620.

[33:54] If you declare anything or keep it secret, then, indeed God20331621 has full knowledge of all things.

[33:55] There is no blame on them in front of their fathers, their sons, their brothers, sons of their brothers, sons of their sisters, their women and those who truly belong to them. And they shall fear God20341622. Indeed God20351623 witnesses all things.

[33:56] Surely, God20361624 and His angels support the prophet. O you faithful, you shall support him and offer peace, a total peace offering.

[33:57] Surely those who torment God20371625 and His messenger; God20381626 has cursed them in this world as well as in the Hereafter and has prepared for them a most humiliating suffering.

[33:58] As for those who torment the faithful men and the faithful women, without justification, have committed an unjust fabrication and a manifest sin.

[33:59] O you prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the faithful women to lengthen their dress. This is better for they will gain respect rather than insult. Indeed God20391627 is All Forgiving, All Merciful.

[33:60] Unless the hypocrites and those with impurity in their hearts and slanderers of Medina refrain, We will indeed give you the upper hand, and then they will not remain your neighbor except a few.

[33:61] Damnation follows them wherever they may be and they will incur torment and they will be killed eventually.

[33:62] Such is God20401628's system, as He dealt with others previously and God20411629's system is immutable.

[33:63] The people ask you about the Hour, say; its knowledge rests only with God20421630. You shall only know that it may be very near.

[33:64] Indeed God20431631 has cursed the unfaithful and has promised them a blazing Hell.

[33:65] They will abide therein eternally and they will find neither a friend nor a helper.

[33:66] The day the Fire covers their faces, they say; O we wished we had obeyed God20441632 and had obeyed the messenger.

[33:67] They said; our Lord, we indeed obeyed our leaders and our elders and they diverted us from the path.

[33:68] Our Lord, give them twice the suffering and curse them a great curse.

[33:69] O you faithful; do not be like those who tormented Moses and God20451633 saved him from their slanders. And he was pleasing to God20461634. 

[33:70] O you faithful; fear God20471635 and speak in a straightforward manner.

[33:71] He will make your deeds righteous and will forgive your sins. And whoever obeys God20481636 and His messenger, then, he has indeed attained a great victory.

[33:72] We indeed offered the trust to the vacua and matter and the mountains but they turned it down and were afraid to accept it, however, the human being accepted it. Indeed, he was most unjust, ignorant.

[33:73] This is for God20491637 to punish the hypocrite men and the hypocrite women and the men who set up partners for god and the women who set up partners for god and for God20501638 to accept the repentance from the faithful men and the faithful women. And God20511639 is All Forgiving, All Merciful.
