Sura 98: Al-Bayyinah (The Proof)

الْبَيِّنَة

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God, The All Gracious, The All Merciful

لَمْ يَكُنِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَةُ ١
[98:1] The unfaithful from amongst the People of the Scripture and those who set up partners for god are not to be abandoned until the proof is presented to them.

رَسُولٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ26912013 يَتْلُوا۟ صُحُفًا مُّطَهَّرَةً ٢
[98:2] A messenger from God26912013 is reciting sacred scrolls.

فِيهَا كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ ٣
[98:3] Therein are eternal laws.

وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَةُ ٤
[98:4] And those who were given the Scripture did not split within their ranks except after they received the proof.

وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓا۟ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ26922014 مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ ٱلْقَيِّمَةِ ٥
[98:5] And they were only commanded to worship God26922014, devoting the faith purely to Him in a monotheistic manner and to observe the contact prayer and give the cleansing charity. And this is the eternal faith.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ فِى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ ٱلْبَرِيَّةِ ٦
[98:6] Indeed, the unfaithful from amongst the People of the Scripture and those who set up partners for god will be in the fire of Gehenna eternally. They are the worst creatures.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ ٱلْبَرِيَّةِ ٧
[98:7] Indeed the faithful who lead a righteous life, they are the best creatures.

جَزَآؤُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّـٰتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ26932015 عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِىَ رَبَّهُۥ ٨
[98:8] Their reward at their Lord is Gardens of Eden with flowing streams beneath them, wherein they abide forever. God26932015 will be pleased with them and they will be pleased with Him. Such is the reward for the one who fears his Lord.
